The fulvous-headed tanager is a small tanager; on average, it is 12 cm (4.7 in) long and weighs 11–13 g (0.4–0.5 oz). It has a gray body and a rufous-chestnut head. Both sexes have similar colorations. The subspecies intensa has a darker-colored head than other species.

About the Fulvous-headed Tanager
The fulvous-headed tanager is a species of bird in the family Thraupidae. It is found in the Venezuelan Coastal Range and far northern Colombia. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist montane forests and heavily degraded former forest.
