About the Flavescent Warbler
The flavescent warbler is a species of bird in the family Parulidae. Its name comes from flavescent, a yellowish colour. It is found in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Guyana, Paraguay, and Venezuela. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forest and subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest.

The flavescent warbler is about 14.5 cm (5.7 in) long and weighs 9 to 16 g (0.32 to 0.56 oz). The sexes have the same plumage. Adults of the nominate subspecies have an olive-green crown, a yellow supercilium that becomes olive-yellow past the eye, a dusky stripe through the eye, a yellow crescent under the eye, and yellow cheeks and ear coverts. Their nape, upperparts, wings, and tail are olive-green. Their throat and underparts are yellow. They have a dark iris, a blackish bill, and orange-pink legs and feet. Subspecies M. f. Voice: The song of the flavescent warbler's nominate subspecies is a "double-voiced series, basically an extr. high series of 5-6 fififi-fififi- notes; after the 1st two notes, mid-high tjeh-tjeh-ejeh-tjeh is interwoven". That of M. f. pallidirostris is "sharp, jerky, and delivered quickly, ek, Ease-a Ease-a, E, chéw-chéw-chéw or seeka-seeka-SEETA, chew-chew-chew".
